I guess I just feel the need to document any and every cosplay problem I have, but here we go!
To our left here is William T. Spears of Black Butler. As you can see, he has a pruning pole as a weapon. A real pruning pole would not be allowed at a con, as one can probably imagine. So, my friends and I decided to do ‘toy weapons’ after seeing someone else do it. Like those plastic things you had as a kid. For example, Ron has a toy lawn mower and Grell has a tiny toy chain saw. After spending a large portion of today scouring the internet for toy pruning poles, I have turned up nothing. The internet does have toy nail guns, circular table saws, weed whackers, and every other tool. But not a pruning pole. Which I guess means I have to make one. Moral of the story: even the internet has its limits.
