Announcement: The Fun has Been Multiplied

Guess what?

There is a How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular!

Here is a link to the official page, and it is a traveling production so it may/probably will come to you! Ticket prices aren’t that bad (starting at $30) and there are going to be dragons!

Dragons! Can you tell that I am super excited for this?!

  1. I heard about this show last month, and while it sounded intriguing, I was a skeptic if it was worth some of the more expensive ticket prices (ones down around $30 don’t sound so bad, I guess, but how far away do they mean you’ll have to sit?). If it were realistic, I think it would be amazing. Do you think they’ll do a good enough job with the dragons that you won’t notice that they’re just machines? What are your thoughts on their representation of Toothless? Some of the dragons looked pretty impressive, but I wished they had done him a little bit differently. As one of my blog readers put it, he looks a little bit like a frog in some of the pictures. 😀
I hope that I’ll get to hear from people who actually see this show sometime to find out what it’s actually like. Even if I’m not quite excited enough to go, I certainly want to hear how it turns out!

    • I think all of the dragons except Toothless look good. Half of the appeal of the movie was that Toothless was actually a giant goofball, and there is no way that live dragon can pull off goof ball. And I didn’t notice the frog look until you pointed it out. As far as looking like machines, the people who are doing this already did a show on dinosaurs which got excellent reviews, so I’m not too worried about that.
