Oh, My Pop Culture Religion: Rise of the Guardians and Easter

Happy Easter everyone! By the time you read this, I will probably be done with church and knee deep in vegan chocolate. I admit that I struggled a lot with today’s post, because there aren’t exactly many things about Easter in pop culture. I think that’s because Easter is either viewed as silly (bunnies delivering eggs) or “too religious” by our secular culture. Trailer Tuesdays: More Rise of the Guardians

Okay, yes, I realize that Lady Bacula already posted a trailer review for this movie, but it looks so awesome that I’m going to post more. I don’t often see this happening, but Rise of the Guardians is already a huge flipping deal. Hell, it’s not even out yet and it has over one-hundred fanfics already.

That’s impressive.

So our story is about the guardians of children, Santa Claus, the Sandman, the Tooth Fairy, and the Easter Bunny enlisting the help of the playful Jack Frost to protect the children around the world from a serious threat. A guy named Pitch is causing chaos and havoc by giving children nightmares, and he needs to be stopped. Rise of the Guardians is based on William Joyce’s book series The Guardians of Childhood, and it’s scheduled to be released here in America on the 21st, so make sure you go see it.

Anyway, each character now has their own separate trailers to go along with the two Lady Bacula has already shared.

Here’s own introducing Jack:

North:

Sandy:

Bunnymund:

And I really love Tooth’s:
