Web Crush Wednesdays: Hyperbole and a Half

It’s Web Crush Wednesdays again! This week’s Web Crush is… *drum roll* Hyperbole and a Half!

Perhaps some of you have seen memes similar to this:

or this…

Yeah, there are a lot of these, but this is the original.

This awesomeness comes from the blog Hyperbole and a Half by Allie Brosh. She describes herself as “heroic, caring, alert and flammable.” And though the pictures are what you often see online her writing, especially when paired with the pictures is even more hilarious.

“I’ve always wanted to not give a fuck. While crying helplessly into my pillow for no good reason, I would often fantasize that maybe someday I could be one of those stoic badasses whose emotions are mostly comprised of rock music and not being afraid of things. And finally – finally – after a lifetime of feelings and anxiety and more feelings, I didn’t have any feelings left. I had spent my last feeling being disappointed that I couldn’t rent Jumanji.

I felt invincible.”

I thoroughly suggest you go here and check out my latest Web Crush!

Web Crush Wednesdays: The Pagan Perspective

It’s that time again! This week’s Web Crush is The Pagan Perspective.

Did you ever want to know anything about Paganism, Neopaganism, or Wicca? I certainly did. Paganism is one of those religions that really gets the shaft when it comes to studying religion. Why? Well, I have various guesses, but whatever the reason, you don’t often see colleges or universities offering classes on Paganism, which really is unfortunate.

When I was younger, I rejected the Catholic faith I was brought up in and became an atheist for a time, but not long after I began to accept the idea of a higher power once again and began to look at other religions. Paganism was one I looked at but sadly I couldn’t find much in the way of reliable or informative sources. Perhaps if I had found The Pagan Perspective I would have consider the religion more thoroughly.

The Pagan Perspective boasts practitioners of various beliefs, ages, and genders taking and answering online questions about Paganism. It’s an extremely informative and enjoyable site I suggest you all check it out.

And that’s my latest Web Crush! ❤
