Checking in with the Doctor: Doctor Who Season 8 Midseason Review

doctor who series 8It’s been a while since we last checked in with Doctor Who’s Season 8. We last covered the Season 8 premiere, and I had some mixed feelings about it. The next five episodes haven’t followed much of a cohesive plot. Rather, they’re one-off ideas for what might make an interesting Doctor Who episode. Steven Moffat seems to be asking a lot of questions about who the Doctor really is, and what it means to be the Doctor. We’re also finally getting some character development for the Doctor’s companion, Clara. So has Moffat produced some quality Doctor Who? Sort of.

The Walking Dead: “Too Far Gone” Midseason Review

The-Walking-Dead-Season-4-Cast-Banner2I had greatly hoped that my love for The Walking Dead would rekindle this season. Spoilers after the jump.

The Walking Dead continues to be one of the best—if not the best—story set during a zombie apocalypse. And the midseason finale went to every length to leave us wanting more. And like most midseason episodes, it also ended on a cliffhanger, so unfortunately we’re just going have to wait until February to find out what happens.

WARNING: SPOILERS BELOW! READ AT YOUR OWN RISK, IDJIT!

It’s here! The midseason review of Supernatural! As midseason reviews go it was not as super awesome mega exciting as I prefer my midseason finales to be, but it was a good episode overall. It explores Dean’s relationship with Benny more and further delves into Sam’s relationship with Amelia.

So let’s take a quick look at “Citizen Fang” and then I’ll discuss how season eight has progressed, and what I hope will happen in the future.
